Lose the phone

kid-and-phonekid-and-phone I was talking to a friend who owns a business whichrequires several employees. He is a fair, hardworking individual and only asks that his employees do their job and work when they're on the clock.  Can you guess what is the biggest problem? Yes, they can't stay off their phone while they are supposed to be working.  Here's the kicker... they are learning it from their parents who allow this behavior at home and at school.  Go to the school and you will see lots of kids on their phones, even during class (I have seen it)  The teacher says they can use them if their work is done, at their lockers and in the hall.  Do they really need to be that connected? No. Mommies and Daddies need to let their "babies" go to school to learn. To learn how to socialize, be a team player, to use their time wisely, to be on time.... it's a long list of day to day habits today's kids are missing when the adults don't act like adults. How will your children learn critical thinking or problem solving? Be a parent even thoughyour child may argue you're depriving them.   Their first job is an important learning experience,  if they're able to fill out an application and work on their own.
